Now Accepting Applications for 2012 Secret Place Internships

We are excited to announce that 6:22’s Secret Place Internships are partnering with Covenant Theological Seminary (CTS), a local non-denominational seminary based in Greenville, NC. This will allow us to offer a full-time, accredited track for those who feel called to full-time ministry, in addition to our current part-time track. This partnership will relieve 6:22 leaders of some of their teaching duties and provide 6:22’s internships with accreditation. Matthew and Cory will be taking the CTS classes this fall semester so that we will be prepared to offer the full-time internship track starting in 2012. We are now accepting applications for the Secret Place internships for the spring of 2012, beginning in January. We have updated the application. The Secret Place Internship is a consecrated season of ministry to the Lord (Acts 13:2) where young adults can develop disciplines to root them in a lifestyle of encounter with God.

The internships are named after the “secret place” (Psalm 27:5, 31:20, 91:1, Matthew 6:1-18) of God’s presence.

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matthew 6:6

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

The primary intern activity is to spend extended amounts of time in worship, prayer and Bible meditation, both personally and corporately.

Additionally, interns will be serving in the various facets of 6:22, which could include playing/singing on a worship team, sound/video tech, office/administration, leading prayer (on stage), praying with others, web site tech, creative arts and more
